The future of sustainable cleaning
With its Novaline, Wetrok has created the most sustainable cleaning product line of all times! Thanks to using innovative biosurfactants, Wetrok has been able to combine a top level of eco-friendliness with an uncompromising cleaning performance in a unique way. The Wetrok developers were the first in the world to successfully develop stable cleaning agent concentrates for professional use that are based on biosurfactants, and have thus closed a gap in the market. This innovative solution marks the start of a new generation of sustainable cleaning products and sets new industry standards.

Conventional cleaning agents contain surfactants that are usually produced synthetically and are based on mineral oil, palm oil or other plant oils. The production of biosurfactants is meanwhile inspired and supported by nature and no fossil or exhaustible resources are used. The biosurfactants are generated in a gentle patented fermentation process using microorganisms from food industry waste. Following their use in cleaning, they are highly biodegradable in sewage treatment plants, and this eases the burden on the environment. Their production is also lower in emissions and CO2 emissions are reduced by between 30 and 50% compared to conventional surfactants. This means that the production of biosurfactants is more resource-friendly than other popular approaches to sustainability that can be found on the market.

Application and performance
Novaline gives rise to a perfect balance of a high cleaning performance, material protection and safety. The biosurfactants are highly effective and characterised by their strong grease-dissolving power and performance. They are kind to surfaces and plastic materials.
Novaline is also compatible with the well-known Wetrok foam method, allowing for a reduction of the amount of water and chemical cleaning products used. The cleaning products are subtly scented and dyed using food colouring to reduce the risk of mix-ups and increase user safety.
Packaging
Wetrok attaches great importance to sustainability, also when it comes to packaging. The Novaline canisters are made of 50% recycled HDPE-PCR material and can be returned to Wetrok for recycling after use. This allows for a reduction of CO2 emissions by 21% compared to standard canisters, as well as promoting a sustainable circular economy. All small dispensers, foam and spray bottles are reusable and marked with a refill pictogram.
Production and logistics
The Novaline products were developed in the laboratories of the Wetrok headquarters in Kloten. They are produced in establishments in Switzerland that possess ISO 14001 certification, using regenerative raw materials. This does not only ensure the high level of quality of the products but it also helps to establish a sustainable supply chain with lower CO2 emissions, thanks to shorter transport routes.
Wetrok is setting a strong signal for sustainability and innovation with its Novaline, creating products that are not only kind to our environment but provide for an impressive level of cleanliness, too.
