Squeegeeing liquids / Repelling liquids

To remove liquid dirt from floors or surfaces using the window cleaner or sponge rubber floor squeegee. Suitable for smooth, vertical and horizontal surfaces and floor coverings.

Preparatory work

  • Select suitable products to match the surface to be cleaned (type / square metres) and the type of soiling.

  • Put up the warning sign and take all necessary safety precautions.

  • Check the rubber lip of the window cleaner or the sponge rubber floor squeegee and replace as needed.

  • Cover vulnerable surfaces and the floor covering.

Main task

Main task on vertical surfaces using the window cleaner

  • Squeegee the vertical surfaces (e.g. walls) with the window cleaner (rubber lip) horizontally or vertically in overlapping passes, working your way from top to bottom. On horizontal surfaces (e.g. tables), squeegee the liquid in horizontal or vertical overlapping passes, working your way from the back to the front.

  • Dry the rubber lip on the cloth before starting each pass.

  • Use the cloth or the wetting tool to remove the dissolved dirt and the remaining cleaning product. If needed, use a clean, dry cloth to rub off any stripes on the surface.

  • Squeegee the liquid on the floor in overlapping passes using the sponge rubber floor squeegee. Draw or push the liquid into the drain.

  • Perform a visual check.

Final steps

  • Remove the covering material.

  • Remove the warning sign once the floor is dry. As needed: Remove the safety precautions.

  • Wash the used cloths and the cover in the washing machine.

  • Dispose of any waste.

  • Clean the cleaning equipment and replace as needed.
