Waxing (protective treatment)
To apply the protective product with high wax content to floor coverings using the application tool with cover. Suitable for wood and cork flooring.
Preparatory work
Select suitable products to match the surface to be protected (type / square metres).
Put up the warning sign.
As needed: Completely remove stubborn dirt, care products and protective treatments with the suitable cleaning method as needed (e.g. wet scrubbing and wet vacuuming).
As needed: Fill the pores
Allow the floor covering to dry completely.
Remove any loose dirt (dust-binding mopping or dry vacuum cleaning).
Main task
Pour a small amount of the undiluted protective product onto the floor and use the application tool with cover to apply it in a thin and even layer, moving in slightly overlapping passes (circular motion). Distribute any excess product. Work backwards towards the exit.
To apply additional passes, pour a little of the protective product onto the wet area and distribute it as described above. Repeat this step until the entire area has been treated.
Always lift up the application tool from the floor like "an airplane taking off”.
Allow the floor covering to dry completely.
As needed: Remove any loose dirt and apply a second coating of the protective product.
Allow the floor covering to dry completely.
As needed: Polish the wax coating and carry out dust-binding mopping.
Final Steps
Remove the warning sign.
Rinse the cover and wash it in the washing machine.
Dispose of any waste.
Clean the cleaning equipment and replace as needed.
